"Rubbit and Bullish"
Many schools are excellent ... in marketing themselves.
Looking for facts? They just offer opinions. Be aware of it, it's not always obvious. Reality is not what people "pretend" the truth to be!

        ask for information
information?   Know by yourself   "All That Glitters Ain't Gold". Get information, evaluate it. Only proper knowledge allows you to differentiate the real things from trash.

Collecting rubbish and bullshit of schools advertisement
is an easy task. Lets go through some of it.

Our graduates get better jobs". Waooo that's great. But wait a minute ... why should this statement be true?   Only long establishes schools with a strong family of alumni (former students), best contacts with employers and proven records of success can pretend to provide better starting blocks.

"I am being propelled faster than..."   What a pretension! It was even printed on the cover page of a school brochure!

Jobs, jobs, jobs ... a guaranteed employment after graduation!

Maybe as a teacher :-) !
It is one of he big catches : The Eldorado of granted jobs. But why are these schools better in providing employment? Try the "acid test", just let them sign the statement.
Don't be fooled by it! The best edge for your career is to chose an excellent school.

Pretending ... pretending!   That's the trick marketing people use when they have no other relevant points to make in order to differentiate their institution.

Education (Inc.) ... the big business   Nothing wrong about it ... just be aware. Education uses full scale marketing tools. Find out by yourself. Apply "Acid Tests" to see the truth. Differentiate facts from (commercially motivated) opinions. Make up your mind and get a written and signed statement of the (too good) arguments.

Acid tests ! A way to differentiate genuine gold from yellow rubbish
Can you buy real gold at a
discount? Why should this be
possible in education?

Let's sign it!   A written and signed statement (with a money back guarantee) is an easy way to differentiate the truth from exaggerate commercial arguments. Try it once ... the results can be amazing.
Who says this?   Who is giving you a reference or an opinion. Does he really know about it. Does he have a commercial or personal reason to fool you? How qualified and reliable is this source? If it's just a commercial argument ... trash it!
Why is it so?   How come? Why is it so? Why is it so unique. How can they really be better? Apply your critical sense. Without an obvious answer to this point ... just trash it!
What was not said?   Forgetting something is not lying! Be careful about unspoken information. Find out if there is something additional even more relevant. Just ask and ask again!
What does it mean?   It might be the truth ... but not in the way you understood it. It was not lying ... just misleading (on purpose). Subtle confusion is often used. Think twice! What was really said and what does it really mean (it might be different from what you are supposed to understand).

Is all of this to difficult and not worth the worries about it?
Then what's the value of your future?
Do you want to master it or just gamble it?

ask for information Think twice !
